Cast: James Woods, Danielle Panabaker, Sophina Brown
“Shark” tells the story of a high-powered defense lawyer named Sebastian Stark (James Woods) who is lured into the L.A. prosecutor’s office. Stark isn’t the nicest guy around, and he has to deal with pressure in the office as well as pressure at home when his teenage daughter (Danielle Panabaker) decides to live with him and not her mother. He is not well like especially no love with the police there well because he gets off wealthy criminal left and right. Well he is good at his job. Something changes in Sharks and he becomes the district attorney a deal that he could refuse and with the same instinct and tactics now he is going top the criminal away.
James Wood here is at his best and perfect for the job. He has help and has a strategy in each episode on how to nail the criminals. Like Lee has directed the pilot episode his style. of course there is twist and turns at every corner. It only lasted a couple of years do to the lack of audience. Raina Troy (Sophina Brown) is the leader of the group she has a passion for justice which is frequently in direct opposition to Stark’s overwhelming need to win at all costs. There is Casey Woodland (Sam Page) a Senator’s son who could easily have a nice place in corporate law and a volunteer to work in the group, Madeleine Poe (Sarah Carter); beautiful, smart and with an ambition rivaling Stark’s own. After losing his job for planting evidence against a cop killer Stark hires former LAPD officer Isaac Wright (Henry Simmons) as a special investigator for his group. And together we will put the bad guys away. I liked that one but unfortunately it got canceled after the second season.
