Cast: Perry King, Joe Penny, Thom Bray
Riptide focused on Nick Ryder (Joe Penny) and Cody Allen (Perry King), two Vietnam vets who find themselves in the detective business, chasing down criminals in California with the help of their pink helicopter, and a couple of friends who are computer whiz on a boat. and yes they have a pink helicopter with the month of Mick Jagger. See picture below. All that set aside the series is an action series with a lot of flashy visuals, big action, some hearty laughs, and a robot sidekick. Nick and Cody are regular guys who like to party and chase woman what else is new there. Murray, the comic relief, is the nerd that they need to get them out of a jam or hack into some system. There are plenty of times where he’s the one who saves the day and gets the girl. The other character is the Robot the R2-D2 wannabe with a bright orange color. It is wandering around the boat doing too much at all looking confused. You will see those Laptop back then they were bigger than they are now as I recall. Over all I love that one but it didn’t take after 3 years it got canceled. Well you can find it on DVD now and revisit this one.

Cast: Johnny Depp, Dustin Nguyen, Peter DeLuise
21 Jump street is the headquarters for a squad of police officers that specialized in investigation related to juveniles. They were selected because they cold pass for high school students, they didn’t look their age. The after school special crimes usually included drugs, extortion, gang violence, teen porn rings etc…..This show became a success on Fox for 5 years, and Johnny Depp got to super stardom right after that. If you haven’t seen the show yet you are going to go what the hell are those outfit that they are wearing back then. Yeah I know that was back then watching it again I said to myself oh! god we were wearing those clothes back then. There were Peter DeLuise on that show. DeLuise and Depp fueled much of the series humor every week.the show explored with a clear eye the complicated teen culture of the day and introducing it with an dose of adolescent insecurity: it could well be the definitive teenage nightmare to discover that your new friend in school is actually spying on you, looking to narc you out and put you in jail. To me it was like the mob squad of the 80’s. Great show though I truly enjoyed that one.

Cast: William Katt, Connie Sellecca, Robert Culp.
Liberal high-school teacher Ralph Hinkley ( William Katt) and right-wing FBI agent Bill Maxwell (Robert Culp) Has a close encounter with a alien out of space who give them a red suit. It only works on Ralph but the thing is they can’t figure out how it works. It give Ralph super powers he looses the instruction books and they still don’t why it was dump on Ralph. So with his girlfriend, Ralph and the FBI agent teams up to battle crime.
Here is a series that is original. I love that one I used to watch it. Katt’s character lost the instruction book to the power suit in the pilot episode, So it was funny how it got to use it and he was trying to figure out how it works as he went along fighting crime. But at the time I remember this series was plagued with problems such as a lawsuit from DC comics, who asserted that Stephen J. Cannell stole their Superman character.Cannell won the lawsuit. Ralph is forced to examine what it means to be a hero while Bill wrestles with having to arrest his own hero, a veteran police officer who has turned to a life of crime. Willian Katt’s character was juggling work, his girlfriend, and tring to catch bad guys. It has a memorable theme song to say the least. As for Robert Cup’s character was always skeptical, impatient federal agent. Then there is the beautiful Connie Sellecca who play the lawyer and Ralph’s girlfriend. If you can get a hold of the DVD of the series see it your kids should love this one.

Cast: Brian Keith, Daniel Hugh Kelly, John Hancock.
Milton C. Hardcastle (Brian Keith) was Judge in Los Angeles. Mark McCormick (Daniel Hugh Kelley), a racing motorist, convicted for robbery, was Hardcastles last case. McCormick was set under supervision of Hardcastle and they start to inspect two hundred cases that were never closed totally during Miltons judgeship.
This series not every one will agree with me I like this one not every body liked it. I love the coyote the kit car that McCormick had. Here is two characters that were at each other throat once in the while one was book smart the other was street smart they had to close cases. Mark spent his two years of incarceration in every prison in southern California, although San Quentin was one most frequently mentioned. There was action in this one but it lack of realism but I said it is only a TV show. I watch all three seasons at times they put comedy into it.

Cast: James Garner, Noah Beery Jr., Joe Santos.
An ex con turned Private investigator named Jim Rockford (James Garner) who would rather take off than fight and going fishing than work. He is on the caution side. Dennis Becker (Joe Santos) is helping him from time to time. Also Angel(Stuart Margolin) his former cellmate and beth davenport (Gretchen Corbett) help him out most of the time.
The good old 70’s series it does not get any better than that. Great little jewels there here is a series where a private detective does not carry a gun lives in a trailer and drives a Camero. Joe Santos was cool as Dennis, Jim’s who is in the LAPD helped Jim by giving him information on various cases. Gretchen Corbett was great in her role as his girlfriend / lawyer Beth Davenport who would always be there to get him out of a jam. Jim had to support his father who was a truck driver and who occasionally got into a case or two to help his son. Gretchen Corbett was great as Beth a terrific actress; This was back in the day were it was good old fashion TV and entertaining.

Cast: Melissa George, Adam Rayner, Morven Christie.
Sam ( Melissa George ) is a spy for an organization named Byzantium. At her last mission she was double crossed and nearly killed. She hide in a remote location to heal to get back in shape and to think who could of framed her. A year later she comes back. They take her back why? Because she is the best agent they have. She soon finds out she is being hunted and someone wants her dead. Is it her old team or someone else?
Now Iike I said before other country are coping each other but there is Alias from the U.S. and there is Hunted from the U.K. It is 2 different series Alias Sidney thought she was working for a branch of the CIA . In Hunted Sam has been set up and they tried to kill her they find out she is still alive she is hunted by them. That is cool nothing wrong with that. It is show on Cinemax. Sam has a backdrop story where her mother was killed and sam kidnaped it is show as a form of flashback from time to time plus you have the sex scene with the fast paced action scenes. I love this on already. Very cool.

Vinnie Terranova does time in a New Jersey penitentiary to set up his undercover role as an agent for the OCB (Organized Crime Bureau) of the United States. He has to fight with protection rackets, international arms dealing, foiling white supremacist plotters, uncovering a government conspiracy to set up a compliant new head of state in a third-world country, and the crime boss named Don Aiudo.
The series is an original one at the time was interesting and entertaining. It looks at an under cover cop who goes deep under cover and has to deal with his family also. A great performances from all the actors in this one. I think there was Kevin Spacey in the first season. He was trying to make his mark in the is series, he played in 7 episodes. Overall this was a kick ass series.

Cast: Robert Blake, Tom Ewell, Edward Grover.
Street smart cop Tony Baretta and he does not play by the rules. His unconventional methods often land him in hot water with his boss But Barreta gets the job done. Ex-cop Billy and Huggy Bear-wannabe Rooster were Baretta’s main men on the street, and Fred was his pet cockatoo.
I saw that show in the 1977 when I first got to the U.S. it was still running. This was the coolest show and even back then. It break all the rules, it was an original show. Barreta lives in a run down apartment in the mean street of New York. He catches bad guys and wear so many disguise it is not even funny. Also they push the envelope on violence as well on everything else. I saw enjoy this show every week now you can find it on DVD.
